TOKYO CITY BALLET 

In 1990  studied classical ballet under Toshiharu Odera and Hitomi Yagi. In 2003 entered the dance course of the Department of Performing Arts, Osaka University of Arts. Studied under Mitsuru Horiuchi (classical ballet), Kiyoko Kato (modern ballet), and Waka Yamamura (Japanese dance). 

After graduating from university in 2008, joined the Tokyo City Ballet Company. Has appeared in many major works such as "The Nutcracker", "Coppelia", "Swan Lake" and others. 

In recent years has also choreographed and directed, and has announced new works at the "City Ballet Salon".

Ayaka Shoda

TOKYO CITY BALLET

Started ballet at Kikuchi Ballet Studio at the age of 3. In 2011, won the 3rd prize in the 6th Eva Evdokimore Memorial Educational Ballet Competition Junior B and studied abroad in Paris, France under Dominique Calfuni. Received the 1st Shosson Doll International Contest in Tokyo PROFESSIONNEL Bronze Award in 2012 and the Saitama Prefecture Dance Association Encouragement Award in the Adult Division of the 46th Saitama National Dance Competition in 2013. Joined the Tokyo City Ballet Company in 2014. Performed major roles in "Swan Lake," "Giselle," "The Nutcracker," "Coppelia" and "Romeo and Juliet".

Since 2017  has been appointed to the Tokyo City Ballet Group "Ballet Fairies" with Kaori Matsumoto.

Mayu Nagoshi

INSTRUCTOR

TOKYO CITY BALLET

Started ballet at the Kawakami Keiko Ballet Research Institute at the age of 6. In 1996 transferred to Odetto Ballet Studio. In 2002, entered the dance course of the Department of Performing Arts, Osaka University of Arts. Studied under Mitsuru Horiuchi and others. 

While attending school played the leading  roles in "La Bayadere", "Paquita", and graduation performances. Joined the Tokyo City Ballet Company in 2006. Has been given many soloist roles in "The Nutcracker", "Romeo and Juliet", "Coppelia", "Swan Lake".  

Received the Washington Plaza Award at the National Ballet Competition in Nagoya.

Tatsuya Jotaki

SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR

TOKYO CITY BALLET

Started ballet at the age of 5.

Traveled to France in 2010 to enroll in Goubé European Dance Center Paris.

In 2012 joined the Tchaikovsky Memorial Tokyo Ballet. "The Kabuki" takes the first stage at the Paris Opera performance. Since then, he has danced the works of various choreographers at major theaters in Japan and overseas.

In 2016, transferred to the Tokyo City Ballet Company. In recent years, in addition to appearing in ballet performances, he has expanded his range of activities such as choreography, lesson guidance, supporting performances in opera and Spanish dance performances.
